Signature Services

Solar Control Coverings

All the heat and UV rejection, none of the mirror. These non-reflective coverings keep your rooms cooler and your view intact, with a finish so subtle most people never know it is there. Your hardwood, art and furniture stop fading. Your sunroom becomes usable in July.

  • Blocks up to 99 percent of UV rays
  • Cuts solar heat gain without darkening the room
  • Near-invisible finish, inside and out
  • Ideal for cottages, sunrooms and west-facing glass

Dual-Reflective Coverings

A mirrored exterior finish paired with a subtle interior side, so you get daytime privacy without giving up your view. From inside, you see out clearly. From outside, the world sees a clean reflection. It also rejects a serious amount of solar heat, which your cooling bill will notice.

One thing to know: effectiveness depends on light conditions. At night with interior lights on, the effect reverses. That is standard clear glass behaviour. We tell every client this upfront.

  • Strong daytime privacy for street-facing rooms
  • Significant solar heat and glare reduction
  • Uniform, architectural exterior appearance

PDLC Switchable Smart Privacy

PDLC stands for polymer dispersed liquid crystal. In plain terms: glass that turns frosted or clear the instant you tell it to. Off, the crystals scatter light and the glass goes private. On, they align and the glass goes clear. There is no in-between and no waiting.

  • Applied to your existing glass, no pane replacement
  • Control by wall switch, remote, phone or smart home system
  • Boardrooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, clinic partitions, storefronts
  • Doubles as a projection surface in frosted mode

Safety and Security Coverings

Glass is the weakest point in any building envelope. These coverings bond to your existing panes so that when glass breaks, it holds together instead of raining shards. Break-ins take longer and get louder. Storms, impacts and accidents do less harm to the people inside.

  • Holds shattered glass in place on impact
  • Slows forced entry at doors and ground-floor glass
  • Protection for storefronts, schools, clinics and homes
  • Invisible once installed

Questions We Hear Every Week

Usually, yes. Low-E coatings change how glass handles heat, so the covering has to match the glass. Some products are built for Low-E, some are not. We identify your exact glass type before quoting and only install what is safe on it.

The mirror effect flips. After dark, with your lights on, people outside can see in, the same as any clear glass. If night privacy matters, that is a job for PDLC switchable or micro-louvered coverings instead. We tell you this before you spend anything.

PDLC runs on low voltage power. The connection is part of our install plan, and where code calls for a licensed electrician we bring one in and build it into the quote. No surprises on install day.

Yes. Coverings come off clean without damaging the glass when removed properly. Most owners leave switchable glass in place when they sell because it helps the sale, but nothing we install traps you.

It depends on the glass and the product, and anyone who gives you a blanket yes is guessing. Bring us your window warranty terms and we will tell you exactly where you stand before anything touches your glass.

Most homes are done in a single day. One room can be a couple of hours. Storefronts and multi-floor commercial jobs get a schedule upfront, and we stick to it.

Almost none. Clean with a soft cloth, mild soap and water. Skip abrasive pads and ammonia heavy cleaners for the first month while everything cures. PDLC has no moving parts to service.

Interior coverings are rated in decades. Exterior and high sun installs wear faster and we say so when quoting. PDLC panels are rated for tens of thousands of switching cycles, which is years of daily use. You get honest numbers per product, in writing.

Condo window with a clear straight-through city view while the deep viewing angle closes off, the effect of micro-louvered covering

Micro-Louvered Coverings

Privacy that works on angles. Thousands of microscopic louvers act like precision blinds you never have to touch. Look straight through and the glass is open. Look from above or from the side and the view closes off. If a condo tower looks down into your living room, this is the answer.

  • Blocks sightlines from above and from sharp angles
  • Straight-on view and daylight stay intact
  • Cuts high-angle sun, overhead glare and heat

Bird Safety Markings

Birds cannot see glass. Large panes, glass railings and reflective facades kill millions of them every year in Ontario alone. Bird safety markings apply a precise pattern of visual markers that birds recognize as a barrier while staying nearly invisible to the people inside. Toronto commercial towers already require this. Cottage and lakefront homes are catching up fast, since glass railings and big view windows kill just as many birds as any downtown curtain wall. We handle both, from city high-rises to Muskoka waterfront.

  • Marker patterns designed to meet bird-friendly building standards
  • Nearly invisible from inside, clearly visible to birds
  • Glass railings, curtain walls, walkways and large residential panes
  • Applies to existing glass, no replacement

Glass Surface Protection

Glass takes abuse. Scratches, acid etching, paint, hard water and grime all cost you either the pane or your time. Sacrificial protection layers absorb vandalism so the glass underneath never takes the hit. Hydrophobic coatings make shower glass and exterior panes shed water and wipe clean instead of building up scale.

  • Sacrificial anti-graffiti layers for storefronts and transit-facing glass
  • Hydrophobic easy-clean coatings for showers and exteriors
  • Replaceable in minutes, not days
